Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses Mathora, including people you share projects with. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. You must not

  • use the Service for anything illegal, or to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • store or share content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or sexual content involving anyone under 18;
  • upload or share malware, or anything designed to damage, disrupt or take control of systems or data;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, projects, or the systems behind them, or interfere with other users’ access;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our prior written permission. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to us privately first;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Service, or automate requests in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Service except where the law expressly allows it;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or give a false display name or avatar;
  • send unsolicited invitations or use sharing features to spam people;
  • create accounts in bulk, or use the Service to resell or provide it to others without our agreement;
  • present calculations made in Mathora as certified, reviewed or approved engineering results when they have not been checked by a qualified person.

3. Shared projects

If you are given access to someone else’s project, respect the role you have. Viewers should not try to change it, and editors should only make changes they are entitled to make. Do not use shared links to distribute harmful material, and do not share access to a project with people who should not have it.

4. Enforcement

If we believe you have broken this policy, we may remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend or close your account, and report serious matters to the authorities. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to respond.

5. Reporting

To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, or to report a security issue, email support@mathora.app with as much detail as you can provide, including links to the project and a description of the problem.
